German World War II "Feldgendarmerie" (Military Field Police) gorget marked "A" (Assmann) on the rear tunic clip. Gorget is made from a silver finished steel retaining 85-90% of that finish. The Heer eagle, banner, and buttons are steel. The black finish on the banner rates 90+%. The luminous paint on the banner lettering, eagle, and buttons still glow brightly under a backlight, and rate 90+% of finish remaining. Steel chain and fittings retains 75-80% of its silver paint with light freckling. The green backing has only light wear. CONDITION: Overall excellent. WEZ
