Lot consists of (A) Naval officer's double breasted dress tunic with elegant bullion rank epaulettes and commander sleeve rank. The tag remains present inside the raised collar, which also features elegant bullion thread. All buttons are present with the exception of the top left button. Sweat stains under the arms in the lining. (B) Naval officer's trousers complete with all original buttons. The trousers are unmarked but the buttons are marked "FOR GENTLEMEN". (C) Naval officer's fur fore and aft hat with gild wire tassels. The front tassel is loose. Properly marked on the nicely preserved interior with slightly detached leather sweatband. (D) Naval officer's leather belt with gilded 2 piece buckle. The belt exhibits areas of cracking but remains supple. (E) Naval officer's Naval officer's synthetic dagger hanger. CONDITION: The uniform set is very well preserved with some pieces exhibiting the above mentioned blemishes along with obvious wear. Overall very good. Very nice example of a World War II Imperial Japanese Navy Commander's uniform. JLD
