Framed Third Reich Waffen SS recruitment poster. The poster depicts a Waffen SS soldier in a camouflage pullover smock, helmet cover, and a EKII ribbon on his tunic under the smock, standing next to a younger uniformed member of the Hitler Youth. The poster reads “Deutsche Jugend, meldet dich freiwillig zur Waffen SS" which translates to “German youth, voluntarily register yourself for the Waffen SS”. The poster encourages members of the Hitler Youth to take the next step and enlist in the Waffen SS. Pasted on the bottom is a white panel which lists the information as to where one can receive information and also enlist in the Waffen SS, in Prague, Czechoslovakia. The poster cannot be removed from its frame, as it was professionally mounted and sealed. The poster appears to be made of a wood pulp fiber paper, with the white panel being pasted on a black and white printed base. The colors used for the printing remain vibrant throughout. The poster was folded 3 times (8 sections) for some time, as moderate creases are present. The mark "ANTON" is present on the left middle. CONDITION: Overall excellent. WEZ
