Hi-Power manufactured at the Fabrique Nationale factory prior to the start of World War II. Left side of slide bears stampings stipulating the manufacturer and patent information, with Belgian proofs present below. Left side of frame bears bears various Belgian proofs as well as Belgian "(Crown) / AC" and "(Crown) / GC" military proof marks. Features include a blue finish, 4 - 5/8" barrel, blade front sight, tangent rear sight, slotted rear grip strap, as well as 2-piece checkered wood grips. Magazine is parkerized. Interior of grips retain their proper red moisture barrier paint. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, and barrel. Pistol is accompanied by an Inglis "S.A.LTD./ 1945" stamped shoulder stock as well as an "(Eagle) / 140" stamped wartime production magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original Belgian rust blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and scattered handling marks all around with some worn areas showing through to gray and brown patina, as well as light surface oxidation overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting moderate oxidation throughout and retaining strong rifling. Left grip panel shows some minor handling marks overall, with the right grip panel showing some scattered nicks, minor losses, as well as scattered handling marks overall. Shoulder stock shows some scattered marks from handling and storage, but is otherwise fine. MLW
