2nd generation Colt Sheriff's Model single action revolver, serial number SA38933. 3" barrel chambered in .44-40 Winchester Centerfire with blade front sight, 2-line barrel address, "COLT SHERIFF'S MODEL" roll die engraved on left-hand side of barrel, and frame notch rear sight. 2-piece imitation pearl grips with a Rampant Colt in a gold medallion on either side. Full coverage period professionally engraved with scroll on a punch dot background with starbursts on either side of the gas shield/loading gate. Silver plated finish. Date of engraving and engraver are unknown. CONDITION: Excellent plus, with nearly all of the silver plating remaining with minor areas of wear throughout. Engraving is sharp. Cylinder appears to be unfired with no dragline present. Grips are strong with no major signs of distress. Bore is lightly frosted with sharp rifling. TON
