Woodsman manufactured by Colt in 1937. Left side of Frame is stamped "THE WOODSMAN" with stampings stipulating the manufacturer followed by the Rampant Colt logo present on the left side of the slide. Features include a blue finish, 6 - 1/2" barrel, partridge front sight, adjustable square notch rear sight, as well as 2-piece checkered walnut grips. Pistol is accompanied by its matching factory cardboard box, containing its original hangtag, cleaning rod, factory manuals, as well as its matching factory paper test target. CONDITION: Near new, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting few light superficial markings from handling and storage overall. Mint bore, exhibiting well-defined lands and grooves throughout. Checkered walnut grips are en suite, showing few indications of handling. Box shows some minor losses to the exterior and no longer retaining its end label but is otherwise very good. A truly fine example of a pre-war Colt Woodsman pistol that the discerning collector would find to be an extremely difficult example to upgrade from. MLW
