Manufactured in 1964 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Colt's birth with "1814-COL. SAML COLT SESQUICENTENNIAL-1864" stamped on left of blued 7 - 1/2" barrel. Blade front sight and frame notch rear. Silver plated cylinder is nonfluted and roll stamped with scroll decorations and Colt related motifs. Grip straps and other small parts are also silver plated. Grips are 2-piece smooth rosewood with silver Colt medallions. Housed in the appropriate French fitted hardwood display case with commemorative plaque, medallion, book, and silver plated dummy cartridges. CONDITION: Excellent. Nearly all of the factory applied finishes are retained with some light handling marks and a turn line. Silver is bright with some areas starting to take on an orange patina. Grips show a few minor marks. Excellent bore and mechanics. Case has some small dings and spots of finish loss throughout. BAS
