Scarce Winchester Model 65 lever action rifle with 5717 built by Winchester Repeating Arms Company from 1933 to 1943 with this one built in 1934. 22" round rifled Winchester Proof Steel barrel in 32-20 with ramp front sight and replaced rear sight with Marble's tang peep sight. Marked with Winchester address and "-MODEL 65-WINCHESTER-32W.C.F.-". Blued button magazine. Blued action with solid frame and plain trigger. Walnut plain pistol grip stock with checkered steel widow's peak buttplate and standard walnut forearm. CONDITION: Metal has faded to a gray patina with freckling. Stock has been cleaned with buttstock having a repaired toe. Good bore and mechanics. Excellent restoration candidate. DLM
