Manufactured at Worchester, Massachusetts circa 1850s to 1860s with scarce "ALLEN & WHEELOCK" marking. Pistol features a fluted 5 - 3/4" .36 caliber 6-barrel cluster operated via a double action trigger pull. Large size dragoon iron frame with scroll engraving. Nipple shield is floral engraved. Trigger guard is of the finger spur type. Standard smooth walnut 2-piece grips. CONDITION: Good. Finish has turned to a dove gray patina throughout with some light pitting in places. Trigger guard appears to have a small repair reattaching it. Grips are good with some light finish loss and impressions. Poor bores with mechanics still crisp. PROVENANCE: Ex Rich Guckes. BAS
