6 shot barrel cluster with flat ribs inscribed with "ALLEN & THURBER NORWICH C-R", "PATENTED 1837", and "CAST STEEL". Nipple shield with rolled decorations. Bar hammer with "ALLENS PATENT" on left side. Frame with simple hand cut scroll. 2 piece wooden grips with serial numbers marked internally with serial number on frame. Grips have German silver spangles. Traditional trigger guard and trigger. CONDITION: Good, barrels have a smooth chocolate patina with some softened legends and some cold blue used to touch up. Frame is essentially gunmetal grey with only traces of rolled engraving visible on recoil shield. Grips are good with some chips and bruises. Mechanically fine, bores are very good, smooth. EMW
