Lot consists of (A) Dog head wood cane. The top of the cane is in the shape of a dog's head with 2 nails for eyes. (B) Wood cane with the top in the style of a tomahawk with carved decorations. (C) Wood axe head style cane with carved decorations. (D) Civil War era souvenir cane with "Gettysburg Battlefield" painted on the shaft. The cane appears to have once been decorated with paint and remnants of black paint are evident. (E) Wood sword cane with fractured heel revealing the tip of the sword. The blade exhibits scrolled decorations and is worn. (F) Wood cane with iron GAR handle. The handle is decorated with patriotic and military motifs. (G) Wood cane with tin GAR handle. The handle is decorated with patriotic and military motifs. (H) Wood cane with knot decoration on the handle. The handle exhibits a significant crack. (I) Unadorned wood cane. CONDITION: All canes exhibit various scratches, dents, cracks, and other blemishes. Overall fair-good. PROVENANCE: Ex Rich Guckes Collection. JLD
