Manufactured 1918 as per serial number. Half moon front sight, U notch flat top rear sight. Left side of slide with 2-line 2-block patent and address information with intercepting pony. Right side of slide with "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY". Barrel marked "HS" on right lug, "P" on left lug. "G" and "H" proofs on top of frame. Left side of frame marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on dust cover, "AA" proof for rebuild at Augusta Arsenal. Washed out "(Eagle Head) / 4" proof over checkered slide release. Right side of frame with serial number. Small parts comprise checkered spurred hammer, checkered slide release with relief mill undercut (appears to have been manufactured from a non-relieved release), checkered thick tab safety, long smooth trigger, short 1911 grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Grips are chocolate colored fibre grips with no markings, modern productions. Frame with heart shaped lightening cuts. Full blue magazine marked "1900- / ASSY. 5508694 / MFR. 1M291". CONDITION: Very good as refinished, with some handling marks and pings visible under the blue throughout. Some silvering to high edges, mostly visible at muzzle and front of dust cover. Slide is very good with a few spots of brown oxidation on left side. Frame is very good with some handling marks throughout, including a faint takedown mark. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with frosting throughout and some oxidation in grooves. EMW
