Lot consists of (A) Single action Allen & Thurber standard size pepperbox pistol manufactured at Worchester. Features include a blued .32 caliber 4" 6-barrel cluster, engraved nipple shield, engraved iron frame, spur style hammer, and smooth walnut grips. CONDITION: Fine. Significant portions of thinning blued finish are retained on barrel cluster. Frame retains some traces of finish, with an overall silvery gray patina. Grips have some scattered handling marks. Good bores and mechanics. (B) Unmarked small frame under hammer pepperbox pistol made by Blunt & Syms circa 1830s to 1850s. This unusual pepperbox is fitted with a .28 caliber 2" 5-barrel cluster, engraved iron frame, ring trigger, and smooth walnut grips. CONDITION: Very good. a dove gray patina is displayed throughout iron components. Grips have some spots of finish loss and minor marks. Good bores and mechanics. PROVENANCE: Ex. Rich Guckes. BAS
