6 shot barrel cluster with flat ribs, 1 rib marked "PATENTED 1837 CAST-STEEL". Bar hammer with "ALLEN'S PATENT" on top and "ALLEN & THURBER / NORWICH C-T" on left side. Nipple guard with rolled decoration, frame with common hand cut sparse scroll engraving. Ring trigger. Grips with German silver spangles. Matching "12" batch number observed on interior of both grip scales, mainspring, and frame. CONDITION: Barrels essentially an even chocolate patina with some flashes of dove grey visible on high edges. Frame is largely dove grey with some flashes of oxidation, primarily to nipple shield, with some toning to brown. Grips are very good with bumps and bruises throughout but free of any cracks or chips. Mechanically fine, bores are good. EMW
