Manufactured from 1861 to 1874, with note from consignor stating this example shipped at the end of the Civil War on April 15, 1865 to J. W. Storrs in a shipment of 50 guns, however no archival letter is provided for verification. Revolver is full blue finished with 6" tip up barrel, German silver front sight, V-notch rear sight, 6 shot cylinder chambered for .32 RF Long cartridges, and smooth 2-piece rosewood grips. Accompanied by a period leather flap holster. CONDITION: Fine. Significant portions of the factory applied high polish blue are retained with some areas of thinning and loss. Grips have some impressions and spots of finish loss. Right grip also has a repaired crack and a sliver lost at the heel. Fine bright bore displaying strong rifling. Good mechanics. Holster has a dry and cracked surface but remains relatively supple and serviceable. PROVENANCE: Ex. Rich Guckes. BAS
