Lot consists of: (A) Only a few thousand Manhattan pepper box pistols are estimated to have been made in the late 1850s. This pocket sized double action features a 3" .30 caliber 5-barrel cluster, engraved iron frame, bar hammer marked with 2-line address, and smooth walnut grips. CONDITION: Very good. Blued finish on barrel cluster has largely turned to a rich chocolate patina, with frame exhibiting a lighter brown patina. Grips very good with minor marks. Good bores and mechanics. (B) Worcester made Allen & Wheelock small frame double action pepperbox featuring a 3" .30 caliber 5-barrel cluster, engraved iron frame, plain nipple shield, and smooth walnut grips. CONDITION: Very good. Traces of factory applied blued finish are retained with balance thinned to an attractive brown patina. Grips have some finish loss and impressions.
