Lot consists of: (A) World War II US metal ashtray which is a replica of Adolf Hitler's fireplace in the great room at the Berghof. Engraved at top is the legend: "FLICK YOUR ASHES ON HITLER'S HEARTH" with the addition at bottom: "This is an exact copy of the fireplace in Hitler's former home at Berchtesgaden from which the marble piece inset above is an actual part taken from there one month after V-E Day". At top is inset an unevenly cut piece of red-brown marble. CONDITION: Scattered blemishes. Overall very good. (B) Bassons Dummy Products "The Jack-Axis" plaster ashtray caricature of Hitler. Original label on reverse. CONDITION: Scattered wear. Overall good. (C) Bassons Dummy Products "The Jack-Axis" plaster ashtray caricature of Hideki Tojo. Original label on reverse. CONDITION: Scattered wear. Overall good. (D) Copy of Bassons Dummy Products "The Jack-Axis" plaster ashtray caricature of Hitler dated 1983 on the reverse. CONDITION: Overall good. (E) "Jam your cigarette butts on this skunk" glass ashtray with caricature of Hitler as a skunk. Part of the Burn the Axis Ash Tray Set. CONDITION: Scattered wear. Overall very good. (F) Known popularly as “Der Phew-er” the painted chalkware figure depicting Hitler as a skunk. CONDITION: Scattered chips and areas of paint loss. Overall good. (G) "The Dirty Jap Rat" painted chalkware figure depicting Hideki Tojo as a rat. CONDITION: Scattered chips and areas of paint loss, especially on the feet. Overall good. JLD
