1900 Vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 202940. 4 - 3/4" barrel. Correct 2-line barrel address. Blue with case hardened frame and hammer. Chambered in .41 Colt caliber. 2-line patent dates with Rampant Colt motif with circle marked on left side of the frame. 2-piece Mother of Pearl grips. Accompanying revolver is a Colt Archival Letter dated November 7, 1980 signed by M.S. Huber, Colt Historian. Letter documents .41/c caliber, 4 - 3/4" barrel, blue finish, grips not listed. Shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett Co. Chicago, Illinois on December 14, 1900 in a shipment of 9 guns of the same type. CONDITION: Excellent overall with approximately 90% original blue, beginning to thin on the cylinder with modest wear at the muzzle. 90% bright original case color, fading on the recoil shield and loading gate. Bore is bright and clean. Action is tight and crisp. Grips are very well fitted with lovely color, in excellent condition showing little to no wear. Very nice unmolested screws. Colt introduced the .41 Colt cartridge in a SAA in 1885 making this a fairly early example. Overall a most attractive SAA revolver. -MKS-
