Lot consists of: (A) Smith & Wesson Model 17-2 double action revolver. Made 1966. Standard markings on the barrel. Patent dates and trade mark on the right side of the frame. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Round, steel barrel with full rib. Blade front sight with adjustable U-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Case colored serrated trigger, with a checkered spurred hammer. Checkered target grips with silver monograms. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Grips have a few scratches as well. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lockup. Mechanically fine. (B) Smith & Wesson Model 14-4 double action revolver. Made 1980. Standard markings. Company address on the right side of the frame. Round, steel barrel with full rib. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Blade front sight with adjustable U-notch rear. Factory blued finish. Case colored serrated trigger and spurred hammer. Custom wood target grip. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with general wear and handling marks. Grip has a few dings and scratches. Clean bore overall with crisp rifling. Powder fouling present around the chamber. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lockup. Grip prohibits full extraction. JWA
