A miniature kabuto, probably from a Chigo Yoroi (a set of armor traditionally given for Children's Day). Bowl formed of one piece with applied ridges designed to mimic a 16 ken bowl. Front with a pinned brass plate with floral designs. Large (proportionally) fukigaeshi with cloth designs; mabizashi en suite with fukigaeshi. 3 lame shikoro bound with orange cord and gilt. Rear of hachi with cruciform knot. Interior with cloth covering. Floral rivets around koshimaki, only one remaining. Orange affixing cord with ivory and orange tassels. CONDITION: Overall very good, with some high edge rubbing, and some handling marks. Some brass rivets around koshimaki missing. Sure to delight a child! EMW
