Gallagher carbine built by Richardson & Overman, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania circa 1860 to 1865. 22" round blued barrel with 5 groove rifling in .52 caliber with blade front sight (missing) and rear flip graduated sight. Case hardened action with single trigger and lever sliding barrel forward for loading. Walnut stock with iron furniture including iron patchbox and slide bar with saddle ring; patchbox with spare nipple. CONDITION: Overall good with blue fading to brown with some surface corrosion. Visible case colors with carry wear. Wood has dark appearance with usage marks and dings. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
