This is a wonderful example of a late 19th century singing bird box automata, marked from Germany. Clockwork operation, flip the switch and the bird appears, chirping and flapping its wings, entertains for about 15 seconds and disappears back into the box. The enameled detailed brass case depicting a French countryside with sheep is flawless. Comes with a winding key.
Condition: (Excellent).
