Standard configuration P.38 manufactured at the Walther factory in 1942. Left side of slide bears usual Walther factory stampings as well as an "ac/42" code, with the right side bearing 2 "(Eagle) / 359" waffenamts on either side of an eagle firing proof. Metal components are blued and frame is mounted with 2-piece pressed resin grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, barrel, and locking block. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall, with the left side of the slide and barrel exhibiting areas of losses showing through to gray patina. Bore is bright, exhibiting light oxidation and retaining strong rifling throughout throughout. Grips are excellent, exhibiting few minor handling marks overall. MLW
