Model 1851 Navy single action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1861. The top of the barrel bears Colt's single line address, with "COLTS/ PATENT" stamped on the left side of the frame. Cylinder bears Colts naval scene. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece smooth wood grip. Matching numbers are present on the frame, barrel, loading lever, cylinder, trigger guard, and grip strap. Wedge is frozen. CONDITION: Metal components retain traces of their original blue finish, with the balance exhibiting a dark gray patina with areas of oxidation overall. Bore exhibits scattered areas of pitting and retains good rifling throughout. Grips are very good, as sanded and revarnished, exhibiting a few minor marks from handling and storage overall. MLW
