Manufactured by Colt in 1857. Top barrel flat bears Colt's 2-line address with the left side of the frame being stamped "COLTS / PATENT". Cylinder bears Colt's stagecoach scene. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece smooth wood grip. Matching numbers are present on the frame, barrel, loading lever, cylinder, cylinder pin, trigger guard, and grip strap. CONDITION: Metal components retain traces of their original blue finish, with the balance exhibiting a mostly mottled gray patina and some spots of cleaned pitting overall. Brass grip strap shows wear through to gray patina. Bore exhibits oxidation and good rifling throughout. Grips show a few minor marks overall, but are otherwise fine. MLW
