Model 1862 Police Pocket single action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1863. Barrel is stamped with Colt's single line address across the top, with the left side of the frame being stamped "COLTS / PATENT". Left side of trigger guard is stamped "36 CAL" and cylinder bears patent information. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece smooth wood grip. Matching numbers are present on the frame, barrel, wedge, trigger guard, and grip strap. CONDITION: Metal components retain traces of their original blue finish, exhibiting a gray patina overall, with some spots of surface oxidation and cleaned pitting overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting spots of pitting and retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered handling marks as well as some losses to the varnish, but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. MLW
