Plains Cree knife sheath, circa 1880-1900. Buffalo rawhide beaded front with a soft Indian tanned buckskin reverse. Front features a polychrome bilateral floral design of opaque and translucent pink, greasy yellow, white heart rose, and periwinkle beads on a pumpkin color background. Tin cone danglers and fringe adorn the top and bottom. Knife is a M1880 military issue hunting knife that has been modified to a clip point style bowie. CONDITION: Sheath is excellent with only the slightest age bead loss. Knife shows typical dark mossing to blade.
