Circa 1880s tomahawk with forged iron 6" hammer blade. 23" long haft is file burned with 6 sections of brass tack rows on each side. End of haft is drilled to accept a buckskin thong with red trade cloth and silk ribbon adornment. CONDITION: 3 tacks missing from wood shrinkage, head is solid to haft. Adornments are very fragile and faded. BRM.
