Smith & Wesson .38 Hand Ejector Military & Police Model of 1905, Fourth Change, made by Smith & Wesson in 1935. According to factory research letter that comes with gun, this pistol was shipped in 1935 to a Captain Herman Thomas of the Philadelphia Police Force and that he also shot on the Police pistol team. Gun has 6" blued round pinned barrel with adjustable rear target sight and pinned blade front sight. Blued frame with case hardened trigger and "humpback" hammer which, according to the letter, was a later style feature possibly added at later date at the factory as a courtesy. Swingout blued 6 shot fluted cylinder. 2 piece checkered walnut with silver S&W monogrammed grips with diamond centers. CONDITION: 90% original blue with some edge wear and small holster scrapes with turn mark on cylinder. Good grips with light handling marks. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
