Manufactured circa 1855 at Colt's London factory with British crown over "V" and "P" proofs present on barrel assembly and cylinder. 6" blued .31 caliber octagon barrel with 2-line "ADDRESS. COL. COLT./LONDON" and brass pin front sight. 5-shot cylinder emblazoned with stage coach scene. Case hardened loading leaver and frame marked "COLT'S/PATENT". Blued steel straps with oval trigger guard and smooth walnut grips. CONDITION: Very good. Portions of thinning blued finish retained, especially in protected areas, with balance a pleasing brown patina. Majority of bright case colors exhibited on frame, with loading lever fading to gray patina. Grips have impressions throughout with a section of filler near the trigger guard. Markings strong with crisp cylinder scene. Dark oxidized bore. Indexes correctly. Matching numbers observed on frame, trigger guard, back strap, cylinder arbor, cylinder, barrel assembly, loading lever, and wedge (partial). BAS
