Rare Edward Lindner 1st Model 1859 Percussion Carbine made by Edward Lindner of Manchester, New Hampshire (Amoskeag Company) with roughly 892 made from 1859 to 1863 with most issued to 1st Michigan Cavalry and the 8th West Virginia Mounted Infantry. 19" round .58 caliber rifled barrel with rifle sights. Lindner patented 1859 flip up percussion action with single trigger control. Walnut stock with brass hardware and slide bar with saddle ring. CONDITION: Metal has faded to a silvery gray patina with some light surface corrosion. Brass has faded to a dark golden yellow color. Wood has been cleaned with tang missing a screw. Dark bore with hammer spring needing to be repaired. DLM
