1887 vintage Colt Frontier Six Shooter single action revolver, serial number 123450. 7 - 1/2" round barrel chambered in .44-40 Winchester Centerfire with blade front sight, single line barrel address, and frame notch rear. Left side of barrel is marked "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" in desirable acid etched panel on left side. Low profile ejector rod head. 2 piece checkered early Colt gutta percha grips featuring a Rampant Colt and a US eagle on either side. Matching serial numbers observed on frame, trigger guard, and butt. CONDITION: Very good, turned mostly a gray patina with strong areas of bright high polish original bluing in protected areas. Grips are excellent, well fitting, and show no traces of major distress. Mechanically good, with cylinder slightly loose. Bore is lightly frosted with well-defined rifling. TON
