Circa 1949. A 20 gauge with 2 - 3/4" chambers and ejectors. Barrels are fit with a machined flat top rib with extension, small round white mid-bead and a slightly larger round white front bead. Top of right barrel reads "L.C. SMITH - 20 GA - IDEAL - FULTON . N.Y.USA". Bottoms of barrels read "LONDON STEEL". Barrel flats read "51755", "NP", "IDEAL 2 3/4 CHAMBER". Chokes are Improved Modified and Improved Cylinder. Case-colored sidelock action is decorated with oak leaf engraving and reads "L.C. SMITH" at bar. Action built with non-auto safe, checkered thumb piece top lever and "Hunter" single trigger, barrel selector, and serrated thumb slide. Trigger and barrel selector are protected by a blued and lightly engraved trigger guard. Trigger guard and water table engraved with serial number "S-51755". Watertable also marked "LE" and "FW". Feather crotched walnut stock with flat checkered pistol grip is fitted with black plastic grip cap and finished by a black serrated buttplate. Fine beavertail forearm with roller release has light iron metal engraving and interior iron metal is stamped with "I E", "S 51755". CONDITION: Very Good. Barrels exterior blue is fading. Bores are bright. Action is sound. Trigger is crisp to pull. Ejectors are in time. Stock with light handling marks and normal wear. Forearm with few and slight handling marks. CP
