The Accuracy International rifles are one of the most iconic precision weapon systems of all time, and have been a mainstay in that category ever since the 1985 British Sniper Rifle trials, where their innovative use of a chassis system over a traditional stock helped secure their win. Present example is an Arctic Warfare model in matte black, manufactured in 1999. Iconic thumbhole stock, this example in a fixed configuration. Heavy taper barrel with 1023 stamped on barrel. Matching "5545" numbers seen on bolt and bolt head, just under safety. British CP proof on right side of receiver. LOP spacers with appropriate AI branded pad. Spigot mounted bipod. Vacant underrail for mounting accessories to underside of stock. Mounted with Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 scope with MOA adjustments and an SFP mil-dot reticle. Previous owner very clearly cared about the condition of this rifle, with areas of felt applied to strategic areas to avoid rubbing. Housed in a Starlite branded hard case with French cut foam and manual. CONDITION: Overall excellent, showing evidence of careful range use. Some minor marks throughout from handling and use, primarily to barrel. Receiver has some texture from manufacturing under the original finish. Stock is excellent with some minor marks. Markings are crisp, with white paint used to accent some proofs, others still very clear from silver. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with crisp rifling. Glass is clear, with tactile adjustments. Case is very good with some exterior markings; foam is excellent, possibly new. An iconic rifle in great condition. EMW
