These early FN Special Police Rifles (SPR) are well known for their accuracy and reliability; a slight variant was approved for the FBI's Hostage Rescue Team in 2002 (along with an H-S Precision), with a stringent 1/2 MOA requirement. This example has the early 26" heavy taper barrel, with FN rollmark on left side and a much more subdued U.S. Repeating Arms Co mark on right, the name used by Winchester after the were bought out. Left side of action with "(FN Logo) FN SPECIAL POLICE RIFLE". QD scope rings on 2 piece mounts is fitted with a 10x42 Kahles ZF95 scope with mil-dot reticle. Composite McMillan style stock with Harris bipod. Triger breaks at a crisp 1.5#. Detachable box magazine. With the original scardboard shipping box with lock and manual. CONDITION: Very good to excellent overall, with some light evidence of range use manifesting as light marks throughout. Stock has some handling marks which do not detract. Bolt has some spots of cleaned corrosion; given the condition of balance, possibly a result of improper storage. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent, bright and shiny, with crisp rifling. A great rifle to reach out. EMW
