Excellent George Herron custom mammoth boot knife scrimshawed by Ken Hunt. The knife features a clip point blade with wonderfully etched foliate designs laid neatly atop of a frosted background on the cheek. The blade is marked "HERRON" on the ricasso. Wonderfully scrimshawed grips by Ken Hunt compliment the hilt. Each grip panel exhibits beautifully detailed floral motifs and are secured in place by 2 stainless pins. The left grip is signed "K.C. Hunt" at the top of the grip scale just under the guard. CONDITION: The blade remains bright and the floral etchings remain unmolested. The grip scales exhibit little to no wear with their colors remaining attractive and vibrant. This is a wonderful example of an ornate fixed blade knife that was crafted by a fine knife maker.
