Iconic configuration of the SSG 69, a rifle best known for its adoption by the Austrian Army in 1969 (hence the designation). Hammer forged barrel with emergency iron sights, front a protected blade on a serrated ramp, rear an express sight dovetailed into an island. Steyr, Secaucus import mark on left side of barrel. Left side of receiver with "STEYR-DAIMLER-PUCH A.G. STEYR MANNLICHER MOD. SSG. 69". Right side of receiver and barrel with Austrian proofs. Double set triggers. Mounted with a Kahles ZF69 6 power fixed scope with duplex reticle. Off-brown composite stock with checkered panels at forearm and pistol grip. Steyr branded recoil pad over LOP spacers. CONDITION: Overall very good, retaining the vast majority of the parkerized finish on the barrel and receiver with some minor marks from use. Stock is excellent with minor handling marks. Magazine release is broken on right side, preventing extraction. Scope is clear but has several areas of rubs and handling marks throughout. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with crisp rifling.
