Manufactured by Fabrique Nationale as part of a 1949 contract for approximately 8,000 rifles chambered in 7x57mm Mauser for Venezuela. Standard 25" black enamel finished barrel with flash hider, protected blade front sight, tangent peep rear sight, and walnut finger groove pistol grip stock with ribbed butt plate. Receiver is stamped with Venezuelan crest above the chamber with additional "FUERZAS ARMADAS / VENEZUELA" naval stamp on the right of the stock. CONDITION: Very good. Metal components retain vast majority of their factory applied enamel finish with some light wear at high edges and working surfaces. Stock is goo as cleaned with some added finish and impressions throughout from use and storage. Bore is lightly frosted but shows well defined rifling. Mechanically fine. Matching serial numbers observed on receiver, top cover, and bolt. BAS
