MP5K receiver manufactured by Heckler & Koch of West Germany in 1990. Left side of magazine well bears the caliber designation, with the right side bearing HK's importer information. The top of the receiver is stamped "HK MP5k" followed by the serial number, a German "(Eagle) / N" commercial nitro proof, HK's date code "KA" (90), as well as an Ulm Proof House stamp. Top of bolt bears HK's date code "IA" (80) and does not match. Receiver is fitted with a mount that features an Optima 2000 red dot sight. Tri-lug muzzle is mounted with a quick detach (QD) flash hider. CONDITION: Metal components retain vast amounts of their original factory black enamel finish, exhibiting some areas of light wear from operation overall and exhibiting firing residue on the interior. Mirror bore, exhibiting some light firing residue and well defined rifling throughout. A very attractive MP5K barrel received for one who has a registered HK auto sear pack, is looking to build an MP5K pistol, or wishes to build an MP5K short barrel rifle. MLW
