Amongst the first and most highly regarded of the "Wonder Nines" the CZ 75 is a top quality double stack DA/SA 9mm handgun. This example is one of the first models with the noticeablely shorter rail and slide scallop cut. Early spur hammer instead of the later ring. Czech proofs visible just above extractor, barrel hood, and right side of trigger guard; "79" also marked above extractor. Matching serial numbers observed on barrel, slide, and frame. Early plastic grips with CZ logo. Left side of slide with CZ logo, "MODEL 75 CAL. 9 PARA"; left side of frame with "MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA". Early more rounded trigger guard. Left side only controls. Magazine is electropenciled "023", matching last 3 of the serial number. Housed in the very early picture box listing the producer as Presne Strojirenstvi, Uhersky Brod, Czechoslovakia (The Precision Machine Tooling Company, Uherský Brod, Czechoslovakia) and advertising the 15 shot capacity in particular. Serial number area is vacant, but correct applied label has correct serial number. Contents comprise an extra magazine, also electropenciled with "023", manual, certificate of guarantee, test target, and cleaning rod. CONDITION: Fantastic, and possibly new old stock. Retains virtually all of the factory bluing with only a few very minor markings. There is some what appears to be concealed oil in a few of the cocking serrations which do not detract. Grips are excellent with some very minor marks. Mechanically fine (correctly does not have half cock on hammer), bore is excellent, bright and shiny with crisp rifling. Box is excellent with some age related distress to corners and some staining, but with bright graphics. Internal French cut cardboard liner has been crushed long ago, but contents are still excellent. Finding a First Model CZ 75 in this kind of condition with the original box is very rare. EMW
