Model P9S Sport semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Heckler & Koch in 1985. The left side of the slide bears HK's manufacturer information, patent information, as well as the model designation, followed by the serial number and a German "(Eagle) / N" commercial nitro proof. Right side bears HK's importer stamp "HK CHANTILLY VA". Right side of frame bears a German "(Eagle) / N" commercial nitro proof, followed by HK's date code "IF" (85), and a Ulm proofhouse stamp. Barrel bears HK's date stamp "KA" (90). Features include a matte gray finish, 5 - 1/2" barrel fitted with a target counterweight, slide mounted front sight, square notch rear sight, manual cocking/decocking lever, as well as a black polymer frame featuring checkering on either side and a thumb rest on the left. Matching numbers are present on the frame and slide, with the barrel being unnumbered. Pistol is accompanied by an original P9S factory box containing a factory manual and 1 additional magazine. CONDITION: Excellent overall, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory finish, exhibiting few indications of extensive handling or use. Barrel weight exhibits some minor superficial marks from handling and storage, with an area of very light surface oxidation on the top. Mirror bore, exhibiting polygonal rifling throughout. Polymer frame is excellent. Box shows some exterior wear, a couple of taped repairs, and is missing its serial number label, but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable. MLW
