USP Compact manufactured by Heckler & Koch in 1997. Left side of slide bears stampings stipulating the manufacturer, model designation and the caliber designation above a German "(Eagle) / N" commercial nitro proof, HK's date code "KH" (97), an Ulm proof house stamp, as well as the serial number. Bottom of frame bears HK's importer information. Slide and barrel exhibit a dull black finish, with the frame being comprised of black polymer, featuring checking on the front and rear grip straps and texturing on either side of the grip. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, and barrel. Pistol is accompanied by an original factory gray plastic hard case containing a manual, as well as an additional 8-round magazine. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory finish, exhibiting few light superficial marks from handling and storage and some very light edge wear on the barrel from cycling of the slide. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined polygonal rifling throughout. Polymer frame is excellent overall. Case shows some exterior wear, but is otherwise fine. MLW
