Percussion Kentucky swivel breech rifle made by William Filman of Milton, Pennsylvania between 1820 and 1860. 32" over/under .40 caliber octagonal barrels with one being stamped "W. FILMAN". One barrel is smoothbore and the other is rifled with both having rifle style front and rear sights. Swivel breech mechanism with Joseph Manton back action percussion lock, double set triggers, and hickory ramrod. Curly maple stock with brass hardware including 4 piece patchbox with release in buttstock and 1 coin silver moon inlay on cheek with silver back plate. CONDITION: Overall fine with metal parts showing an aged patina. Stock is spread and slightly loose with good original finish. Dark pitted bores with functioning mechanism. DLM
