Made by the L.C. Smith Gun Company of Fulton, New York in 1946. 28" blued 16 gauge London Steel barrels with 2 - 3/4" chambers, extractors, high sight plane, and Full and Improved Modified chokes. Case hardened featherweight frame with double triggers, automatic safety, and Ideal Grade floral engraving. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with serrated hard rubber buttplate and matching walnut checkered splinter forearm with ebony inlay and roller latch. CONDITION: 90% fading barrel blue with some surface splotches. 90% vivid case colors with balance fading to a silvery patina. 90% plus original varnish with some light handling marks and dings. Excellent bores and mechanics. A nice late Ideal Grade and 1 of 3898 produced by the L.C. Smith Gun Company. DLM
