Made by Merkel in Suhl, East Germany in 1967. Gun has no "MADE IN GDR" stamping and is dated on lug "167". 28 - 3/8" Bohler Steel blued barrels with ventilated rib, ejectors, and fixed Full and Modified chokes. Sidelock game scene engraved action with Merkel non-selective single trigger, Greener crossbolt, and non-automatic safety. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with cheekpiece, hard plastic grip cap, and added Kick-Eez recoil pad. Merkel 3-piece semi-beavertail forearm with checkering and latch release. Comes in canvas luggage case. CONDITION: 90% original fading blue with bright finished action showing 95%. Wood has handling marks and dings and retains 90% of original oil finish with added recoil pad. Good bores and mechanics.
