Gun is a confusing arrangement of modern and antique parts into a early American Jaeger style Kentucky rifle. 36 - 1/2" half-round half-octagon smoothbore .65 caliber barrel with brass blade front sight. Military style unmarked flint lock with some modern replaced parts and single trigger control. Fruitwood full stock with raised carved daisy pattern at tang and floral design behind cheekpiece, with beavertail pattern behind locks and tail pipe. Brass hardware with replaced modern trigger guard and cobbled buttplate with iron sling screw and bale. Horn nose cap with hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Metal turning a silvery patina with surface corrosion. Wood has been cleaned with patch in forestock. Interesting gun with age question on several parts. DLM
