Manufactured from 1864 to 1870. Lightly engraved 3 - 1/4" round barrel marked on top with 1-line Moore's Patent address and mounted with German silver half moon front sight. 6-shot front loading cylinder chambered for .32 teat fire cartridges with extractor. Silver plated brass frame with spur trigger and scroll engraving. Fitted with a pair of dark 2-piece walnut grips stamped on inside with "DD44" assembly number, matching the frame. Housed in an older French fit wood camel back case with tool and 6 rounds of original teat fire ammunition. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel and cylinder exhibit an attractive dove gray patina. Frame retains significant portions of its original plating with some areas thinning to mellowing brass. Dark bore displaying strong rifling. Mechanically fine.
