Manufactured circa 1866 to 1870 based on David Williamson's design by the Moore's Patent Firearm Co. and National Firearms Co. Blued 2-1/2" barrel which slides forward to load. Barrel has engraved arrow decoration on top flat and patent information on left side. Silver plated scroll engraved frame and trigger guard. Checkered walnut bird's head grip. Housed in a homemade wooded case with 6 cartridges, a percussion adapter, and 2 cap tins. CONDITION: Very good. Portions of original blued finish retained in protected areas of the barrel with balance turning to a gray patina with a few spots of cleaned corrosion. Brass components also retain portions of their original silver plating, especially in protected areas. Engraving still crisp. Grip is good with a dark appearance with some wear and handling marks. Excellent bore. Fine mechanics. Case is fair. BAS
