Rare 2 barrel set of an L.C. Smith Field Grade side by side shotgun made by L.C. Smith Gun Company, Fulton, New York in 1948. First set of barrels is 26" blued 16 gauge Armor Steel with nitro proofs with L.C. Smith single barrel logo, ejectors, high rib, fixed Full and Modified chokes, bead front sight, marked 2 - 3/4" chamber and correctly numbered to the gun. Second set of barrels are 28" and unmarked except for Nitro proof stampings, 16 gauge marking, 2 -3/4" chamber marking, "FIELD" stamping and correct matching serial number. They have automatic ejectors, high sight plane rib, and bead front sight. Case hardened featherweight frame with double triggers and automatic safety. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with hard rubber buttplate and grip cap. Matching walnut checkered forearm with roller latch. CONDITION: 90% fading barrel blue with carry wear. Added case colors on action with screws turned and carry wear. Wood has been sanded with scratches and usage marks. Good bores with sticky ejectors. DLM
