Manufactured 1903, second year of production. Rounded hammer, forward cocking area. Right side of slide marked "AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" at rear, "MODEL 1902" just ahead of ejection port. Left side of slide with correct 3-line Browning patent and 2-line Colt patent information, rear of slide with encircled Pony. Correctly numbered with matching serial number on underside of slide. Left side of frame with serial number. Fire blued small parts. Colt hard rubber grips with cast pony and "COLT" in banner across top. Lanyard loop on rotatable stud. Full blue magazine marked "PAT'D SEPT 9 1884". CONDITION: Overall very good, with the vast majority of the Colt bluing still present. Some silvering to high edges and towards the muzzle, and spots of browning beginning to show through the bluing throughout. Front strap retains less blue than balance of gun, approximately 70%, while rear has even less, approximately 25-30%. Case colors on hammer are good, somewhat faded. Magazine has some spots of oxidation throughout. Mechanically fine, bore has visible rifling and oxidation throughout. EMW
